RESEARCH

Continuous research and testing. If power is in the fingers then control is in the rubber. Honestly, what use is all that power without control? We are constantly developing and testing future compounds; take Altaderenza for example, our new compound that equips the new BAT: to try it is to know.

A shoe is not just its sole. Shoes are a blend of materials, fastening systems, tensioned rand, midsoles & soft compounds for the back of the foot. We never stop at the status quo. Being wild means always seeking what’s next!

midsole

ideas

The midsole is the oft overlooked space between your foot and the sole and it’s there, even when you cannot perceive it.
In the Dagara the midsole is a very thin double-layered microfilm that comprises the footbed, which creates a soft shoe with a minimum barrier between foot and rock for maximum sensitivity.
On the other side of the spectrum we have the Pantera 2.0, which has a stiff midsole that reaches almost to the heel to maximise transmission of force on the smallest of footholds.
Between these extremes we offer varying softness/stiffness, shape and innovative ideas.
The Pantera Laser employs a “comb” midsole which we have cut transversely in specific points to…well, try it and you will understand what it means to be “all-round”.

UPPERS

COURAGE

We were the first to believe in two-way stretch microfiber and it soon evolved to working with distinctive shapes and thicknesses but more importantly to adopting innovative processes ante litteram – The Pantera Laser owes its name to the piercings on the upper which are incised by laser.
Graphics are used to fine-tune the flexibility of the microfiber, tensioned strips of rand are interwoven into the back of the shoe at the flexion points, which preserve the balance between sensitivity and support.

“Smart” closure systems mean the laces to flow smoothly through the eyelets for precision tightening on the Grip Laces and Pantera Laser.

Innovation requires courage – not least of all the courage to persevere. We foster and cultivate that which we do well.
The fundamental becomes inevitably fashionable, it is only a matter of time.

PATENTS

TECHNOLOGY

The shoes we make employ diverse systems for specific solutions. Wild Microfiber, H torsion, the Power Wing, C3 Cotton, to name a few. We manage numerous materials and are constantly researching new technologies, not empty acronyms!
With these terms we are simply giving simplistic names to complex application of material to make our shoes climb better. We have never been interested in smoke and mirrors. Our technologies are designed to serve. Either a shoe works well, or it doesn’t.
We are Wild at heart and grow weary of constantly naming “discoveries” and “solutions” – the very thin compound of Dagara’s insole, for instance, has no name.

SHAPE

CLARITY

Everyone has unique feet; just look down and you can see your feet are different than others’. However, in the motion of climbing our feet tend to behave in the same way.

Sampling key positions from specific points of the arc of moving one’s feet up on the rock allows us to extrapolate the different platforms required for different styles of climbing.

Shoes take their shape based on the required motion; starting with neutral bases, to down-turned arches (camber) and extending towards the big toe (asymmetry).

Featured products

Asymmetrical like "Pantera" in all her incarnations, more straight-soled like the very soft "Dagara", natural and comfortable fit of the new "Bat". Rummage through the toolbox and find your tool.

TECHNOLOGIES

Our technology is founded on our enthusiasm and experience in the vertical world. To us the technical details: the registered trademarks, microfibres, woven cottons, laser precision and rubber research, are secondary. WildClimb is wild, never satisfied with the status quo and always in search of the state of the art.
